Lifepath

Lifepath is back this year after not being held for two years because of the covid pandemic.

It will be held in Olney May 24-26 and will feature the 200th anniversary of Amazing grace, John Newton’s great hymn.  Book the dates!

Lifepath is an event which follows the life of famous Christian characters and for us that is one year at Elstow looking at the life of John Bunyan and the next year at Olney looking at the Lifepath of John Newton.

We have over 1,000 children booked in over 3 days when they gather together with singing, drama and workshops to visit throughout the day such as a tour of the Abbey, handbells, looking at costumes and artefacts of the day, Maypole Dancing, basket weaving, creative prayer and more.. the day ends with a re-enactment of the lives of John Bunyan (Pilgrims Progress) and John Newton which is enjoyed by all.  The staff and children have a lovely day and hopefully go home reflecting on the change that God made to John Bunyan and John Newton – and can make in their lives if they so wish.  We are always looking for volunteers so if you would like to help please get in touch.
